Intro

Tina Tower [00:00:00]:
Hi friends, and welcome to a very special episode of Her Empire Builder Show today. Uh, it may be a little bit more echoey than normal because I am coming to you live from my launch house in Palm Springs. I am here to run the launch, um, and I have had a lot of questions on social media about why and how. And so I thought I would do an episode for you all about why I'm Palm Springs and what it's actually like running a destination launch and what happens behind the scenes. So to answer the question why Palm Springs first, if you followed me for a while, you know that I'm low-level obsessed. Actually, probably not low-level. I'm actually really obsessed to the point where the wallpaper that is behind me, I love so much that I even imported it to go in my living room at home. Because I wanted to feel like this all the time.

Main Episode

Tina Tower [00:01:01]:
This is my 10th stay at my favorite hotel, which is called Holiday House. I love it here. And I decided to go away. So I've done destination launching quite a lot. I've launched from Costa Rica, St. Lucia, Mexico, Palm Springs several times, Hawaii, Gold Coast. I love going away for launch. And there's a couple of different reasons for that.

Tina Tower [00:01:27]:
One is I ran my last launch at my office because, you know, it's fiscally more responsible to do that. And I ran it there and I just found the energy harder because it's like launch is a special event. Launch is something that, you know, we only do twice a year for a week each time. And so there's a lot that leads up to it. And then it's this moment of like this excitement and going, hey, if you're ready, if you wanna jump into your online courses, if you wanna grow, now's the time, jump in now. Like, we got one week, let's go, because in 90 days your life can look so different to what it is now. And so it really needs that, that big energy. Um, and what I find is when I am at home, I'm like normal energy, which is still good energy, but I get it, I get more excited when I'm away.

Tina Tower [00:02:22]:
Um, and there's a few other things that happen too. Like, I can, I get a lot of excitement and enthusiasm from my surroundings and from the action and from the newness and the difference. And having that newness helps me relate to other people that are going through something new in terms of going, I'm gonna level up, I'm gonna do something I haven't done before. And so it just puts me in the right headspace for that. Another reason why I chose Palm Springs and go away for launch was, if I'm getting a little bit honest with you, I wanted a break. So I usually go away 4 or 5 times a year and for different conferences, for different things that I'm doing. And I'm away for, you know, a week to 2 weeks at that time. And since my kids— I didn't like it when my kids were young.

Tina Tower [00:03:13]:
I didn't like traveling very much. But after they got to like 7, 8 years old, they're fine. They're fine with their dad. I also feel like it does him a lot of favors because I'm an intense woman. I'm a lot. And I do think that Matt and I, our relationship is such a good relationship. And we've been together for 23 years now. So a long time.

Tina Tower [00:03:38]:
And we have gone overseas solo every year of our marriage. And I always think it's really exciting. I miss him like crazy. I long to get back to him. And I think that that missing is good. What I was feeling was I haven't been alone since July last year. So I came to the States July last year for a mastermind. I was only here for 4 days, so it was a really big trip, obviously, to fly from Australia, which is, you know, 24-hour kind of transit from door to door.

Tina Tower [00:04:08]:
And so to do that for 4 days and back again was a bit of a, bit of a whiplash, bit of a whirlwind. And so I really wanted just to chill out a bit, just a little bit of downtime. And I know that can sound a little bit counterproductive to launching because launching is anything but chilling out, but it meant that I can do things on my own schedule. And so launch, I am intense, so I'm giving my husband that break, and also launch is intense. And so if you've done live launches before, you know exactly what I'm talking about in that they can be an emotional roller coaster. You're really, really excited and pumped, but also there's a lot of people that are there and they're on the fence. They're going, do I, don't I, do I, don't I? And you kind of just gotta wait and see. And so there's a lot of emotions that comes in.

Tina Tower [00:04:53]:
You're on a deadline, like there's just a lot to it. And so when I go through launch, I usually will go very within myself. And so it's just not conducive to running normal family life. You know, when I get off live calls and I'm sending so many voice DMs and bonjour stories and email messages and so many follow-ups and so many different things going on there that when I'm doing all of that and then also, you know, the kids want to live somewhere or what are we having for dinner or different things, not that dinner is really my responsibility, but you know, there's home stuff that happens and I like to be out of normal life while I'm doing this because this is anything but normal. And I know that I've had members inside Her Empire Builder that, you know, they've always, you know, some people think it's just not possible for me to go away when I'm launching. But then they do. And they go even to like, we just had a member go and stay in the local caravan park in one of the cabins, which beautiful cabin by the beach in the local caravan park. So really affordable, but also really nice.

Tina Tower [00:05:59]:
And she would go on beach walks every morning and then just go and hit it. And you can go like all day, every day and just do what you've gotta do in that really limited time. And she was like, I couldn't believe how much I got done and how much spaciousness I felt and how much expansion I felt. I'm like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. I know, I know, right? So I think it's something that, you know, don't discount because launches requires a lot of dedication and a lot of energy and taking yourself away from that so that you can really immerse in it. I really, really love. I also love, there's something about being alone and not having other people to talk to, which gives me a lot of idea generation because I'm a lot more in my head, in my thoughts. Out, no disturbances.

Tina Tower [00:06:46]:
And so when I go every day, I take a hike in the morning. So what my life kind of looks like for Palm Springs life is very different to what it looks like at home. So at home, I go to bed about 9, 9:30. I get up at about 6:30, 7 o'clock. Um, so I like a lot of sleep, always like a lot of sleep, but I sleep early. Whereas here, because of the time change to Australia and I want to get as much of that in as possible, I've been sleeping from midnight till 9 AM. So still a nice big, long, undisturbed undisturbed, glorious sleep, but going to bed a lot later and waking up a lot later. Then I get up, I have myself some breakfast, and then I have been going on hikes.

Tina Tower [00:07:26]:
And on those hikes, I come up with so many different ideas for different emails and different reels and different captions and different people and all of the different things that we have to be thinking about. And so giving myself that That space is so cool to be able to do. Then I come back, I sit by the pool. I'm reading a great novel at the moment. I read my book and then have some lunch and then I hit the work. So I've been working probably from about 12 o'clock till 10 o'clock at night. So getting in a big workday, but still every day having a different adventure, going on a different hike, going and doing some shopping, going and exploring nice places. It's just lovely.

Tina Tower [00:08:11]:
And sitting here looking out my window right now, is just palm trees and the pool and the sun is shining. It is hot, really hot. Like it's 104 degrees Fahrenheit, just like 41, 42 degrees Celsius. It's really hot and I love it. I love the heat. I'm also loving just being on my own schedule, not having to, you know, just really immersing in the selfishness of it and not having to take anyone else into consideration. Sleeping when I want to, laying down when I want to, going wherever I want, whenever I want. It's very, very exciting for me.

Tina Tower [00:08:47]:
So I'm really, really enjoying it and highly, highly recommend. Um, I just finished the Empire Accelerator training yesterday. So when we did the Empire Accelerator training, it's 3 days of training, um, that's free. We had 40 people that were there live every day. And a big thing that stood out to me yesterday was— we finished it off yesterday, so if you didn't come to that you've missed it, but you can get the recordings if you want them. Just send us an email and I'll give you those. Um, but you can get access to everything inside Her Empire Builder. So if you're there and you're like, actually, I want to do this, just come join us.

Tina Tower [00:09:24]:
Come join us now. Um, the link is in the show notes. And if you follow me anywhere, I mean, you should be seeing it everywhere if I have done my job properly. But go to herempirebuilder.com/join. Uh, but what I did notice a lot was I think success is the convergence of 3 different elements, and you need all of those elements in order to gain success. And those 3 is effort, mindset, and strategy. And the thing that doesn't make me sad as much as it frustrates me is I see so many people putting in so much effort like A+ effort, people that have been trying, or people that are there going, I've been developing my course for a year and it's not launched yet, or I've done a launch, I've only had a couple of people. Like all of this effort without the results.

Tina Tower [00:10:20]:
And it's frustrating because like statistically, I shared this in the, in one of the episodes I've done recently, but I just cannot believe the stat of 12% of female business owners are making over $100,000 a year. And I think it's because of this convergence. There's a whole lot of effort. Like, you cannot say— there's so many people that I know are trying so hard but not getting the results, and that is usually the absence of the other two elements, is the strategy and the mindset. And if I can talk about strategy just for a moment, like, strategy is where it's at. Now, strategy without effort will not get you anywhere because it takes effort to implement the strategy. But so many people feel like, I just need more hours in my day. But really, you need to just spend the hours that you have really purposefully, really implementing that strategy, and then you don't need more hours in the day.

Tina Tower [00:11:16]:
There's plenty of time to do everything. But I think often people are just running around trying this and trying that, and I read this, I'll try that, and I'll do this and I'll do that and I'll do this and I'll do that, and just exhausted. And so having that strategy is so important. And I mean, unsurprisingly, that is where we come in with Her Empire Builder is, is it's all strategy. How to do your marketing, how to do your evergreen funnels, your live launch funnels, how to utilize team properly, how to do everything that you need to do inside your business so that when you are there at your desk and you're like, all right, it's go time, let's go, you're not fluffing about, you're not wasting any time and you're not wasting any money. You're there and you're going, all right, I know exactly what to do, understand the assignment, I'm starting at the top, let's go, let's get it. And then you've got a far more likely chance to reach those results that you're going for because you can learn and implement instead of having to like learn by trial and error. You've got everything there so that you can go, all right, I know this is what works.

Tina Tower [00:12:19]:
And then you can just decide, do you want to do that or not? Because I tell you, there'll be some strategies that you'll feel really aligned with and there'll be some strategies that you're like, I'm not doing that. And that's okay. And so the other part is the mindset. And this is where it comes in that, you know, I had a discovery call like 10 minutes before I started recording this with someone who has fear of success, which I think, you know, a lot of people assume when they're fearful and holding themselves back that it's fear of failure, but often it is fear of success because it does change who you are. But I tell you what, success is real fun. There's nothing to be afraid of. It's great. But yeah, everyone's valid with the hangups that we have.

Tina Tower [00:13:03]:
And I think that that one of the secrets to getting our mindset right so that we can do the things that we know we need to do in order to get the results that we deserve is to figure out how to hack ourselves, how to get the best from ourselves, how to get us to do the thing that we know we need to do. And that is so much easier said than done, you know. Often when we are, um, going to do something, I could, I could ask you like, what's one thing right now that you could do in your business to elevate? And I'm sure you can tell me, but it's like, why haven't you done that? What's holding you back from doing that? And have you done it to the best of your ability? Have you half-assed or are you going full-ass? And I think that that is a big part of it, is do you see yourself as someone that can do the thing? Do you see yourself as someone who follows through? Do you see yourself as someone who this is all going to work out? The universe is rigged in your favor. And if you've had knockback after knockback after knockback, that level of resilience can be really challenging. I know when I've been in, in those seasons and that spiral of just like boom, boom, boom, gosh, it's hard to pick yourself back up again. But the way that you get out of it is by getting those little— giving yourself the opportunity to have those little moments of like building that micro-confidence. Where you're going, all right, I'm just going to start again. I'm going to give myself a win.

Tina Tower [00:14:34]:
Like, I'm going to do one thing and then I'm going to recognize myself for the thing that I did that I couldn't do before, and now I've done it. Micro win. All right, let's use that little bit of confidence to go and do the next thing and go and do the next thing and go and do the next thing. And then before you know it, you are there. But so often when I see people that aren't reaching the success that they're striving for, it is because of that set point, because of that self-expectation and going like Am I someone that does this? I can unequivocally say that I resonate with being someone that it all works out for. I know there's going to be stumbling blocks. I know there's going to be setbacks. I know there's going to be days that put me on my ass.

Tina Tower [00:15:15]:
I know there's going to be times where I feel like crying in frustration. But I also know that I can figure it out. I also know that if I try hard enough for long enough, sometimes it'll take me a minute to find the solution, but I will find the solution and I will get through and I will get to where I go, um, and I trust myself to do that. And I think that that belief alone is probably what's got me so much success, because you take that belief and you put really solid strategy behind it and really solid effort, and you're unstoppable. That is all it takes, those three things put together. So if you feel like you're putting in a lot of effort and you are not getting the results you want and you want help with the mindset and you want help with the strategy, come on in. Join us in Her Empire Builder. We are only open for a few more days, so get on in there.

Tina Tower [00:16:12]:
