Abigael - 14 years old
I chose not to keep cattle because it meant I have to become a nomadic pastoralist and this kind of lifestyle would deny me an opportunity to go to school. My mother is my biggest inspiration. I want to become a roads engineer or electrical engineer because we do not have good roads and electricity in our homes in my village.

Bancy - 16 years old
I am grateful for this amazing
opportunity that will allow me to join my dream school and also help me become the first doctor in our family. In future I want to give back to my community by building a health facility in my village and ease the burden of patients having to travel to other far away places to get
specialised treatment.

She was inspired by her teachers who kept encouraging her.

Martha - 15 years old
My sister is my role model because she was in a similar situation like I am in and after she received support through high school, she was able to do well and graduate to university. I would like to emulate her so that together in future we can help our mother, our grandparents and children like me. Sarah - 16 years old
I did not want to go through early marriage as my friends and other girls in our family went through.
